Police Scotland have reported themselves to a watchdog following the unexplained death of a man in custody in Glasgow.

The 39-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after a disturbance on Berkeley Street on Friday morning.

Another man, who is 27, and two women aged 25 and 40, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The force said the circumstances of the incident have been referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (Pirc).
